Ingredient Policy
We prioritize ingredient safety and transparency throughout the development process, starting with the list of restricted ingredients below.
However, at Emmotiv we go beyond this restricted list to *also* disclose the individual ingredients that make up our fragrance oils. This transparency can help consumers make more informed decisions about the products they apply to their skin, especially if they have sensitivity to certain ingredients.
How to find the complete list of ingredients in each of our fragrances: At the top of each fragrance product page, in the description section, you will find a section titled “Fragrance (Parfum) Ingredients”. When you click it, it will expand to show the individual ingredients used to create that fragrance. For multi-fragrance sets, please refer to the individual fragrance pages for this information.
Our fragrances are also vegan, and cruelty-free.
Emmotiv Restricted Ingredients
We prohibit the use of the following ingredients in our formulations.

- Benzophenones and related compounds
- Benzalkonium Chloride
- BHA (Butylated Hydroxyanisole)
- BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene)
- Butoxyethanol
- Carbon Black
- Coal Tar
- Colorants (Synthetic)
- Cyclic Silicones - Cyclotetrasiloxane (D4), Cyclopentasiloxane (D5), Cyclohexasiloxane (D6), and Cyclomethicone
- Dimethicone and Other Linear Silicones
- Dioxin
- EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic Acid) and derivatives (Calcium Disodium EDTAS, Tetrasodium EDTA, Trisodium EDTA, etc.)
- Ethanolamines (including DEA, TEA, MEA, ETA)
- Ethoxylated Ingredients (all, because they could include 1,4 Dioxane; this includes PEGS or polyethylene glycol)
